Description
Key Responsibilities- Oversee a diversified portfolio of U.S. commercial real estate loans across multiple property types and capital structures
- Monitor asset‑level performance, borrower reporting, market conditions, and covenant compliance
- Identify emerging credit and market risks; maintain watchlists and develop proactive mitigation and resolution strategies
- Perform ongoing re‑underwriting, collateral valuation reviews, and downside risk analysis
- Act as primary post‑closing contact for borrowers and key counterparties
- Review and approve borrower requests including consents, waivers, draw requests, and lease approvals
- Evaluate, structure, and execute loan modifications, extensions, and restructurings when needed
- Coordinate with legal counsel on documentation amendments, enforcement actions, and resolution strategies
- Prepare loan‑level and portfolio‑level performance summaries and internal reporting materials
- Conduct cash‑flow analysis, stress testing, and scenario modeling
- Partner with internal investment, originations, capital markets, and finance teams to ensure effective portfolio management
- Work with third‑party servicers, consultants, and property‑level stakeholders
- Contribute to the enhancement of asset management policies, procedures, and reporting standards
Qualifications
- 8-12+ years of experience in commercial real estate credit, asset management, or loan restructurings
- Proven track record managing transitional, construction, bridge, or value‑add commercial loans
- Deep understanding of loan documentation, covenants, and capital stack structures
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, including cash‑flow and stress analysis
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound credit judgment in dynamic market environments
- Experience working across portfolio, borrower, and transaction management workflows
- Comfortable operating autonomously with senior‑level responsibility and accountability
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or professional certification preferred
