A leading global asset manager is expanding its Asia distribution team and is seeking experienced Vice President and Director-level sales professionals to drive business growth across the private banking and intermediary channels in Southeast Asia .

This is an exciting opportunity for commercially driven distribution professionals with established relationships across private banks, wealth platforms, and financial intermediaries to join a highly regarded international investment firm with a broad suite of investment capabilities spanning public and private markets.
Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales

1. Develop and execute sales strategies across private banks and intermediary distribution channels in Southeast Asia.
2. Grow assets under management and revenue through existing relationships and new business development initiatives.
3. Identify and secure new distribution opportunities, including platform onboarding and strategic partnerships.
4. Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline while ensuring accurate client activity tracking and reporting.

Relationship Management

1. Cultivate strong relationships with Relationship Managers, Investment Counsellors, Product Gatekeepers, CIO offices, and other key decision-makers.
2. Conduct client meetings, investment presentations, portfolio reviews, and due diligence sessions.
3. Lead client events, roadshows, seminars, and educational initiatives to deepen engagement and drive business growth.

Investment & Market Positioning

1. Effectively position the firm's investment solutions across various market environments.
2. Partner closely with investment specialists and product teams to address client needs and opportunities.
3. Provide market intelligence, competitor insights, and client feedback to support strategic business decisions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

1. Work closely with internal stakeholders across Investments, Product, Marketing, Client Service, Compliance, Legal, and Operations.
2. Support due diligence processes, platform reviews, RFPs, and onboarding requirements.
3. Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the firm's intermediary franchise in the region.

Risk & Governance

1. Ensure all activities adhere to applicable regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards.
2. Maintain high standards of governance throughout the sales, onboarding, and client servicing process.

Requirements

1. Minimum 7 years of experience within asset management, private banking, wealth management, or related financial services sectors.
2. Demonstrated success in distribution and business development across private banks and financial intermediaries.
3. Strong relationships with leading private banking and wealth management platforms across Southeast Asia.
4. Proven ability to raise assets, grow revenues, and develop strategic client partnerships.
5. Strong investment knowledge across mutual funds, discretionary solutions, alternatives, fixed income, equities, and multi-asset strategies.
6. Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
7. Commercially driven, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented mindset.
8. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
9. CFA Charterholder, CFA candidate, or other relevant professional qualifications would be advantageous.
