Trader | Hedge Fund - Shanghai

We are partnering with several global and local hedge funds seeking Traders based in Shanghai, focused on onshore team expansion. The role involves delivering high-quality execution across multiple asset classes, with an emphasis on efficiency, risk control, and market intelligence. Specific asset classes and market coverage will vary by mandate.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute trades across asset classes including futures, equities, bonds, FX, and rates, with a primary focus on China markets
• Work closely with portfolio managers and research teams to implement investment decisions efficiently
• Manage day-to-day execution workflows, ensuring best execution, liquidity optimization, and cost control
• Monitor market conditions, regulatory developments, and microstructure dynamics across China's onshore landscape
• Deliver real-time market feedback, trade analysis, and post-trade reviews to investment teams
• Ensure compliance with internal risk controls and local regulatory requirements
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of execution processes, tools, and broker relationships

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven experience as an execution trader, ideally within a buy-side or global institutional platform
• Strong hands-on experience in China markets (onshore and/or offshore)
• Exposure to multiple asset classes (futures, equities, bonds, FX, and/or rates) preferred
• Solid understanding of market microstructure, liquidity, and execution strategies
• Strong risk awareness, attention to detail, and ability to perform in fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams
• Based in Shanghai; Mandarin fluency required, English working proficiency preferred
