HFT/MFT Trader - Single Stocks

Overview

We are working with a global proprietary trading firm seeking to hire an HFT/MFT Trader with experience trading single stocks.

The firm operates a fully systematic, technology‑driven trading platform across global markets, deploying both high‑frequency and medium‑frequency trading strategies. With a strong emphasis on execution quality and low‑latency infrastructure, this role offers the opportunity to join a high‑performing trading team operating in a competitive market environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage HFT/MFT trading strategies across single stocks
• Optimise execution performance across venues, focusing on latency and order routing efficiency
• Analyse market microstructure and trading behaviour to improve strategy performance
• Collaborate with engineers and researchers to enhance trading systems and modelling frameworks
• Contribute to the scaling of strategies and expansion into additional markets and instruments

Requirements

• Proven experience trading HFT or MFT strategies in equities (single stocks)
• Strong understanding of market microstructure, order‑book dynamics, and liquidity behaviour
• Experience with execution optimisation, including queue positioning and adverse selection
• Strong quantitative intuition and ability to operate in low‑latency, real‑time environments
• Collaborative mindset and experience working alongside engineering and quantitative teams
