The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Tax Professional and Accountant to join our team. This role involves preparing a variety of tax returns and performing general accounting tasks for our clients. A key responsibility will be conducting in-person interviews to build strong, long-term relationships with clients.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and file tax returns for individuals, including rentals, small businesses, and stock sales.
- Prepare and review returns for various business entities, including S Corporations, C Corporations, Partnerships, and not-for-profits.
- Conduct face-to-face client interviews to gather information, answer questions, and provide exceptional service.
- Handle accounting duties, including QBO, payroll, and Florida sales tax filings.
- Respond to IRS and state correspondence.
Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in corporate and individual tax preparation is required.
- Enrolled Agent: An active Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is preferred to facilitate easier communication with the IRS.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills are essential, with a proven ability to conduct in-person client interviews effectively.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in standard tax and accounting software is needed.
- Commitment: The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable.
