Risk Manager for Private Banking - Credit & Operational Risk, Manager grade, regional bank, Hong Kong

Your new role

As Risk Manager, you will oversee credit risk for HNW lending and operational risk across Private Banking front-to-back processes. Responsibilities include credit portfolio monitoring, margin management, RCSA execution, control testing, incident management, and regulatory compliance.

Credit Risk Scope

• Oversight of HNW/UHNW credit portfolio including Lombard lending, structured loans, and real estate-backed facilities
• Review and challenge credit proposals, financial analysis, collateral valuation, and risk ratings
• Margin monitoring, stress testing, and early-warning indicators for portfolio health

Operational Risk Scope

• Lead RCSA and control testing across PB front-to-back processes
• Manage incident reporting, root cause analysis, and remediation plans
• Define KRIs, monitor operational risk metrics, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards

What you'll need to succeed

• 7+ years' experience in credit and operational risk within Private Banking or Wealth Management
• Strong knowledge of Lombard lending, structured credit, and collateral management
• Hands-on experience with RCSA, KRIs, control testing, and incident remediation
• Excellent stakeholder management and analytical skills; FRM/CFA preferred
