Nine Mile's scale and efficiency allow us to be nimble, responding quickly to market opportunities and regulatory changes, whilst ensuring that we operate under a robust operational risk management framework.
The Role:
We're a leading HFT Global ETF Market Making firm based in Sydney, and as part of our continued expansion, we're looking to bring on an experienced Quantitative Futures Trader. In this role, you'll be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing end-to-end statistical arbitrage strategies across futures markets, leveraging our in-house infrastructure and dedicated development team
- Ideally, a strategy that has a track record across Asian markets
- Collaborating closely with our ETF market-making desk to align trading efforts and share insights
- Proactively researching and identifying new trading opportunities, with a focus on driving consistent P&L growth
- This is a high-impact role with the autonomy to shape and deploy your own strategies within a proven and scalable trading environment.
What you will bring:
- 5+ years of relevant trading experience at a leading proprietary trading firm, with a proven track record in high-pressure, performance-driven environments
- Highly advanced programming skills, ideally in Python and/or C++
- Deep expertise in probability, statistics, and numerical analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - we're a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Solid understanding of financial markets and trading dynamics
- Strong academic background in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or another STEM-related discipline
