Description

The Options Operator will be responsible for executing, monitoring, and reconciling options trades across multiple exchanges and counterparties. This role ensures that the firm’s options trading activities are conducted efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with derivatives operations, strong quantitative skills, and a keen attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor options trades in equity, index, and other derivative instruments.
• Support portfolio managers and traders with trade entry, confirmation, and settlement.
• Manage daily reconciliations between internal systems, brokers, and custodians.
• Ensure compliance with firm risk limits and trading policies.
• Work closely with compliance and risk teams to monitor exposure and margin requirements.
• Generate daily P&L and exposure reports for management.
• Assist with trade lifecycle management, including expirations, exercises, and assignments.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in derivatives or options trading operations within an asset management or brokerage firm.
• Strong understanding of options products, pricing, and trade lifecycle processes.
• Familiarity with clearing systems and trading platforms (e.g., Bloomberg).
• Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of Python is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
