This is a brand new role for the company, created due to exceptional growth, and suited to someone who has gained good experience so far, would like an opportunity to help build, grow and design a new specialist function for the firm. It's very much a hands on role, and the client is not looking for a previous leader, but someone who would like to develop themselves under a CFO and be rewarded with Head if Fund Accounting title in time. CassonX are looking to identify someone who is a Senior Analyst or Supervisor in a broad Fund Accounting / Fund Control function of either a small to medium sized asset manager (thus showing a varied skillset and day-to-day responsibilities) or someone coming from a Fund Services provider with relevant exposure. Whilst it is expected you understand NAV production, and all the mechanics that go with that, this is more of an oversight / shaddow NAV role, with broader knowledge of Fees, Rebates, Audits, Financial Reporting, Expenses, Drawdowns (as example) are needed to be considered. It is not essential for you to be a qualified accountant, but certainly advantageous, especially where you will be involved in new fund launches. If you can start immediately or with a short notice period, then this is deemed hugely advantageous.

This role will give you high visibility internally and externally. They are looking to bring someone in with Fund Control experience to help specialise this function for the firm. This is vey much a hands-on standalone role to start, with a view to growing this function and enhancing it's processes and controls in time (you will have autonomy and opportunity to influence this) whilst reporting directly into the charismatic0 CFO. You will be making sure the Administrators are doing what they are supposed to be doing correctly, as well as working with the Portfolio Managers on all their queries.
