Description
A leading global asset management is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Analyst to support the Asia Finance team. This role is central to the financial operations, reporting, and compliance, offering the opportunity to contribute significantly to the business.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Handle full revenue cycle accounting, including customer billings, payment collection, and reconciliation.
- Oversee the management and accounting for distributor commissions.
- Coordinate intercompany cross-charges and transfer pricing with overseas finance colleagues.
- Prepare and validate accounts payable invoices to ensure accuracy and policy compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packs for management and head office.
- Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and liaise with external auditors during the annual audit.
- Assist with regulatory submissions (e.g., SFC reports) and corporate tax schedules.
- Ensure adherence to all group accounting policies and contribute to the internal control framework.
- Continuously review and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide backup support for team members and assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA/CPA qualification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant finance experience, preferably within financial services.
- Strong technical skills in major financial systems (experience with Workday is a plus) and advanced Excel.
- Proven experience with financial reporting, month-end close, and statutory compliance.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach to building relationships.
- A proactive mindset with a track record of improving processes and managing tasks effectively.
