Description

Our client, a hedge fund, is seeking a Cross-Asset Trader to join its investment team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a multi-asset portfolio, executing trades and supporting portfolio implementation across equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and derivatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for trade execution, monitoring market conditions, and managing positions in line with portfolio objectives and risk parameters. The role involves close collaboration with portfolio managers and risk teams, with direct involvement in the investment process.

Responsibilities

Execute trades across multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, FX, and derivatives, in line with investment strategies and mandates

Monitor global markets, including macroeconomic developments, central bank activity, and asset-specific drivers

Manage and reconcile positions, ensuring accurate tracking of exposures, P&L, and trade lifecycle events

Assess liquidity, pricing, and transaction costs to support efficient execution

Maintain accurate records of trading activity in accordance with internal controls and regulatory requirements

Work closely with portfolio managers, analysts, operations, and risk teams to ensure effective trade implementation

Support portfolio rebalancing and hedging activities

Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of execution processes and trading efficiency

Requirements

Relevant experience in trading or execution within a hedge fund or asset manager

Exposure to multiple asset classes, including equities, rates, credit, FX, and derivatives

Strong understanding of financial instruments, market structure, and execution methods

Familiarity with risk management principles and portfolio construction considerations

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
