Description
Being part of HSBC in Switzerland, you'll help evolve and grow our business.The job holder will support the PBRS business, in the effective risk management and internal control responsibilities by: ensuring management understands their control environment; assisting in developing risk & control assessments; executing control monitoring plans; reviewing adequacy of action plans; and reporting and escalating incidents and issues.

What you will do:
- Influencing and co-ordination of risk management activities to ensure a consistent, appropriate and proportionate approach.
- Dealing with all the changes that impact Private Banking
- Obtaining senior management 'buy-in' to support and resource various CCO initiatives and projects which are sometimes required to be worked on simultaneously to each other
In this role you will:
- Act as risk and control SME for the business/function. Ensure management understanding of risks, controls, ownership & accountability
- Assist the business to develop Risk & Control Assessments
- Develop and execute control monitoring plans to confirm the continued operation of key controls to their management
- Monitor specific key risks and key controls. Review adequacy of action plans and monitor progress of remediation plan to closure.
- Perform Thematic reviews on control points and processes
- Report issues identified. Escalate as appropriate and record in Helios.
- Incident management
- Market Services key activities back-up
You should apply if you have:
- Good understanding of operational risk and controls, preferably gained through experience in front line and risk roles
- A good understanding of the Group's Operational Risk Framework
- Proven problem solving skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions
- Highly developed communication and influencing skills
- Ability to prioritise and work independently under pressure within a team environment
- Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment
- A sound knowledge of the Group and the GPB business, including products & services
