Day to day as a BSA/Risk Analyst
As a Full-Time BSA/Risk Analyst at People Driven Credit Union, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our members' financial well-being by assisting with internal audits, regulatory examinations, and risk assessments. Your keen eye for detail will be essential in reviewing applications, access points, accounts, and transactions for signs of fraudulent activity, allowing you to take appropriate measures to restrict account activity and prevent losses. You'll leverage advanced tools to investigate fraud alerts and provide valuable expertise to frontline employees on navigating potential fraud. Engaging directly with members, you will conduct prompt and professional interviews to address any suspicious account activities while educating them on best practices for security and fraud prevention.
Your role will also involve sharing insights on emerging fraud trends, empowering both members and staff to make informed decisions regarding account safety and personal identification security.
Would you be a great BSA/Risk Analyst?
To excel as a BSA/Risk Analyst at People Driven Credit Union, you will need a strong understanding of BSA laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in all aspects of your work. Familiarity with BSA/AML or fraud certifications will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Your minimum of two years’ experience in risk management or BSA will provide a solid foundation for analyzing transactions and detecting fraudulent activity. Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach are crucial for reviewing applications and account activity.
Proficiency in using software tools for investigating fraud alerts, such as Verafin, along with strong communication abilities, will empower you to educate members and collaborate effectively with frontline employees. Your capacity for problem-solving and an empathetic disposition will be invaluable in addressing member concerns and maintaining a member-centric focus throughout your responsibilities.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Must understand all applicable BSA laws and regulations that apply to the position and comply with the requirements. • BSA/AML or fraud certifications preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Risk and/or BSA.
